Topic 196499

Please forgive my poor Englinsh.

I'm a supporter of Einstein@home. I am running on 10 computers to Einstein@home.

I changed my computer to Lenovo z585 yesterday.

This computer have APU so it have GPU unit on CPU, and it have another GPU.

(AMD A8-4500M APU, RADEON 7640G + 7670M DUAL GRAPHICS)

I installed BOINC , and turned GPU opttion to ON, I'm plaesed with processing Speed with GPU.

But, I think that only 1GPU is working, and another GPU is in idle.

It seems that GPU unit in APU(7640G) is working but independent chip(7670M) is not working.

How can I let the independet chip work?

And Can I control the GPU on crossfire X?

For example, User turn GPU unint on APU to off and independent Chip to on.

I think there is no contol option to GPUs In BOINC in current version.

Hi!

A good FAQ for tweaking GPU support in BOINC can be found here:

Scoll down to "I have 4 GPUs" for your specific question, but the rest of the FAQ is very useful as well.

Cheers
