On multiprocessors, use at most ..% of the proccessors

is it the number of the processors or the percentage of the load overall..?
I mean why there is an option to choose how many processors to use on multiprocessor systems and then this option right after?...
its jsut i've noticed when i look in the task manager of windows in the processes section eat of the 3 running eistein tasks use max 25 of cpu...
Thanks

cpu usage on multicore systems.

It's indeed the number of processors. The other setting was kept for compatibility reasons and has now been recycled for 'minimum of processors to use' IIRC.

Not exactly the same. If you have more than one computer with diferent number of processors...
On other hand if you have GPU task running they usually take 0.2-0.5 cores/GPU, so you might fine tune not to an integer.

And BOINC will immediately reverse your efforts by taking only the integral part for its evaluation of number of cores to be used.
