Try setting in

Try setting in cc_config.xml, it could shed some light on why Boinc doesn't ask for work from Einstein.

Where are you setting the

Where are you setting the cache size? on the web or locally?
As you were talking about the venues I think you are looking on the web page, but may be your host has a different setting in the local settings and this settings allways override the web settings... Have you checked your local settings?

Parmeters are set locally in the preferences. But to be sure I have made the parameters to be identical locally and on the web. But I have the feeling that my rig and Einstein servers do not like each other. Kidding here.
Never had a problem with GPUGrid and WCG however.

I created a cc_config.xml file with the following code:

1

In the event log file I see nothing. Where does the debugger text go. Where should I look for the logged info?

If you have the file in the

If you have the file in the Boinc data directory (displayed in the startup messages of Boinc's event log) and then either in Boinc Manager choose Advanced -> Read config file or simply restart Boinc the extra debug output should be available in Boinc's event log.

You were right Holmis. My config file was in a wrong directory. It was in Einstein project directory. Moved it and now I get the logs.
To make a complete clean cycle I restarted boinc and then I updated the project once manually, and also forced a manual config file reading.
The complete log is here under:

For me it is difficult to see were the problem is. Maybe some boinc experts will see what is the issue.

For me it is difficult to see were the problem is. Maybe some boinc experts will see what is the issue.

I'm no expert at reading these logs but I've marked the lines i think are important.
Now the question is why it believes there are no apps for Einstein? Something not set right in the prefs for witch applications to run?

What is your Einstein@home settings for:
[pre]Run only the selected applications:
Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo)
Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search (extended)
Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search
Gamma-ray pulsar search #2

and

If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?[/pre]
If there is nothing wrong there then I've run out of ideas and we will have to wait for someone that is more knowledgeable than me in reading these logs.

By looking at this file one

By looking at this file one thing has puzzled me.
If I look at the following extract here uner I see the following lines in red:

**************************

3/9/2013 4:42:16 PM | Einstein@Home | [work_fetch] request: CPU (0.00 sec, 0.00 inst) ATI (0.00 sec, 0.00 inst)
3/9/2013 4:42:16 PM | Einstein@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
3/9/2013 4:42:16 PM | Einstein@Home | Reporting 3 completed tasks
3/9/2013 4:42:16 PM | Einstein@Home | Not requesting tasks: don't need
3/9/2013 4:42:19 PM | Einstein@Home | Scheduler request completed
3/9/2013 4:42:19 PM | | [work_fetch] Request work fetch: RPC complete
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] work fetch start
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] ATI: buffer_low: yes; sim_excluded_instances 1
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] no eligible project for ATI
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] CPU: buffer_low: yes; sim_excluded_instances 0
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] no eligible project for CPU

3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] ------- start work fetch state -------
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] target work buffer: 432000.00 + 86400.00 sec
3/9/2013 4:42:24 PM | | [work_fetch] --- project states ---

*************************

This is puzzling because it shortly says that Einstein is not eligible for the ATI GPU and for my CPU.
Strange isn't it?

My settings are that each application has been checked, and I have a YES to accept work from other applications.

I am now crunching the last 9 tasks. Already 3 cores are idle. In one hour max its finished. Gravitational ripples and a space-time distortion has impacted my machine. :-)

Hi! There's not only the

Hi!

There's not only the problem of your host not asking for GPU work anymore. While it still did receive GPU tasks, most of them ended up as invalid results! I'm not sure the two problems are related (even with all error / invalid results, the host should ask for a new task occasionally). Anyway you should check in the host details web page for the number of tasks per day that the host is allowed to download.

Most importantly, while you still have tasks you should try to fix the validation issue. Is the card overheating? Is it overclocked? Is the CPU overclocked? Is the RAM ok?

Cheers
HBE
