Hi!

There's not only the problem of your host not asking for GPU work anymore. While it still did receive GPU tasks, most of them ended up as invalid results! I'm not sure the two problems are related (even with all error / invalid results, the host should ask for a new task occasionally). Anyway you should check in the host details web page for the number of tasks per day that the host is allowed to download.

Most importantly, while you still have tasks you should try to fix the validation issue. Is the card overheating? Is it overclocked? Is the CPU overclocked? Is the RAM ok?

Cheers
HBE

Yes but I should get at least CPU tasks. I did not get GPU tasks since two days now. But I could continue to get CPU tasks. I am getting no tasks at all.
Now the cache is empty and Boinc has stopped.
Time for me to switch to WCG.
May come back if a solution is found.

To answer your questions HBE, I am running Einstein exactly with the same hardware parameters for CPU and GPU as I had for WCG who was running 24/7 with no issue at all. Temperatures are no issue for GPU and CPU, very reasonable. I have 24 GB of very fast ram so this is not an issue either.

I switched to WCG, and

I switched to WCG, and immediately got 5 days worth of CPU/GPU, and everything is running perfectly. No problem with WCG servers. The local configuration is identical.

When looking at my quotas I

When looking at my quotas I see that I have a daily quota of 32 tasks per CPU.
This mean 32 tasks per core, with 12 cores I should have 384 tasks per day. Now how these are handled between GPU and CPU is not clear. One thing is sure is that I am very far from the daily quota as I just get 0 tasks.

I checked the invalid or computation error problem. Indeed I have a very high rate of computational errors with the BRP4 tasks, but not with CPU tasks. I cannot understand why. The catalyst drivers are the latest 13.1 version and the board is not running hot and is not overclocked. I have configured the board to run three GPU taks in parallel and this is not a maximum load.

Hi, i have similar

Hi,

i have similar problems with my new AMD 7970 - see here. My older 7950 worked fine. Not overclocked, no overheating, enough power, RAM is ok, even downclocked gpu and memory.

Tested with the older version OCL 923.1., 938.2, 1016.4 and 1084.4 (from 13.1).

Is this a 7970 problem?

Could be. I have unfortunately only 7970 boards and no other models. I could switch to Nvidia GTX580 boards and do some tests. But have no time available for that at the moment.
