Constant GPU Compute Errors

Hello,

I have a fresh BOINC install on Windows 8 x64 and I am getting constant and immediate compute errors on my GPU tasks, although CPU tasks happily chug along.

I have tried the following:

- Nvidia Drivers 306.97 (WHQL) and 310.54 (Beta)
- BOINC 7.0.28 x32 and x64
- BOINC 7.0.31 x32 and x64

The only thing that has changed since successful completion of GPU units is an upgrade from a GTX 460 to a GTX 660Ti.

Is there any information I can provide or can anyone provide me guidance as to why this may be happening?

Constant GPU Compute Errors

FYI, I joined another GPU compute project (DistRTGen because SETI is down) and have no problems crunching via GPU.

Hi You are getting the

Hi

You are getting the following error: -1073741515 (0xffffffffc0000135)

There's a thread over in Cruncher's Corner discussing this error, {url=http://einsteinathome.org/node/196369]Link here[/url]

For some this is related to graphics drivers for Intel HD graphics, especially the OpenCL part of the driver.
Try to uninstall the OpenCL part of the driver and reboot.

I never installed the Intel HD Graphics driver, but I did have the Intel OpenCL for CPU SDK installed for some Java OpenCL work I was toying with. I uninstalled the SDK and now all my CUDA tasks run just fine.

I had version 2012 of this SDK installed: http://software.intel.com/en-us/vcsource/tools/opencl-sdk

Nice find and thanks for the advice!
