Hi guys,
I don't know what the problem is, but my computer, ID #2187328 appears to be incapable of performing any task.
I checked the error code, but it's all Greek to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I guess it's sort of moot, because I'll be replacing the CPU shortly with a dual core, but just in case, I need to know where the problem lies.
Thanks
Will

Computer generating repeated errors...why?

For me, that looks like trouble with the disk.
Did you do a disk check recently? After that, you could try a repair install of BOINC.

Thanks Gundolf, running diagnostics now.

Well, it doesn't appear to be the disk. I ran a diagnostic on it, both quick and extended and found no problems. I have now removed the program and reinstalled it. I also reset the project.
...waiting for results...:)

I forgot to mention: It could also be the AV program interfering. Are there any entries in the AV logs?

I took a look at the output returned by this particular task. To me it looks very much like what I've seen before if the CPU is overclocked a little too much or if the CPU cooling is inadequate.
Are you overclocking at all and have you checked the condition of the heat sink and fan?
Cheers,
Gary.

That may very well be it. I haven't overclocked it, but the stock cooler may not be all that great.
I received a message (pop up window) "einsteinbinary_ABP1_3.12_graphics_windows_...
has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
I guess I'll just shut it down and wait until I get the new chip and custom cooler I have coming. Also a new vid board.
Thanks for the help guys.
I'll return after if I have the same problem.

Aha! I ran a memory diagnostic and discovered I have a problem. Have tested three stalks and the third tested bad, now awaiting results on #4
Making progress!!!!
