Computer cloned replaced old one

Hello Everybody,
I'm new here. I had an unused computer laying around and I cloned my main computer OS (win 10) on it so that I won't have to reinstal every software I use. But the problem is that it seems that the clone has replaced the original in the "my computer view". And I don't know how tou "add" it as it was a new computer. I tried to delete all the project it was working on but it didn't work. Has anybody a suggestion on what I should do?

Just make sure they have different names and the website will figure it out in a few days, I clone Linux drives all the time and just change the name of the pc and everything works great.

The problem with a clone of 'everything' is that you now have two distinct sets of hardware claiming to have the same supposedly unique ID as far as your supported projects are concerned. That is a big No-No and changing the hostname of one system wont solve it, since BOINC doesn't care about the hostname. You need to make sure that the two systems have completely separate IDs for any BOINC projects that are installed.
Your computers are 'hidden' so only you can see the details of the situation. If you change your preferences to allow others to see non-sensitive information about your hardware, it would make it easier for others to assess exactly what has happened. When you report back, please indicate which BOINC projects are installed. Is it only Einstein or are there others?
Do you have older computer IDs that you have previously retired and no longer use? We'll be able to check that if you unhide. A quick and relatively easy solution is to give the clone machine a former ID, if you have one. I do that all the time and it's very easy to do once you know how. Otherwise, you will need to remove the current duplicated ID for each project and get each project to send you a new one.
Actually, if your clone machine has "taken over" the ID of your main machine and started crunching tasks, you'll have a lot more grief if both machines try to report the same work. I hope you immediately shut down the clone machine before it started communicating with any projects. Both your machines might end up having to get new IDs.

Thank you for your response, since I had other problem with the clone and no need to use windows anymore I finally replaced it with linux mint and everything went back to normal. But thank you for the help anyway, have a nice year 2022.
