In my case, I just upgraded to the latest version of BOINC for OS X, installed the newest Nvidia CUDA drivers and toolkit, and finally have BOINC seeing my GPU. However, every workunit that attempts to run on it ends with an exit status of "244 (0xf4)" instead of a result.

I'll try another reboot -- just in case, and see it that sorts things out. If it doesn't, I'll probably just disable my GPU until the next version of either the Nvidia drivers are released -- or until I finally get around to putting a fresh install of OS X on.

I am getting a ton of these too... one machine is a pentium quad (BOINC 6.10.45) with 4GB, the other is an AMD quad (BOINC 6.10.36) with 4GB. Both have 10GB swap partitions and both are running fedora 12. Plenty of free disk space on both (over 10GB available to BOINC), and no other applications running.

I have a ton more... that's just a sampling from the BOINC log of the pentium quad; the AMD was rebooted after they started and it continues getting them too. I've turned off Einstein@home until you get it sorted out, as I don't care to waste bandwidth... downloading 400MB of work units for them to run anywhere from 2 to 40 minutes before erroring out is not what I consider a productive use of resources.

Did you install the 32bit compatibility libraries?

If not, then that will give such an error. Einstein doesn't have 64bit applications, only 32bit applications and then your OS will have to know how to work with those.

so maybe there is a shortage of video memory. The ABP2 app's memory requirements usually are just low enough to let it run on 512 MB graphics cards, however, the desktop display etc will consume some of this memory so it will depend also on things like your screen resolution whether there's actually enough free space. Sometimes a reboot frees some graphics memory so Gundolf's advice is still valid in this situation as well.

Linux: 2.6.32.12-115.fc12.i686.PAE

is a 32-bit OS, so it shouldn't need anything special to make it 32-bit compatible.

Oh well... guess I'll just stick with WCG; I have over 10 years of CPU time with them.
