My XP pentium 3.0ghz machine, has been getting a lot of random client errors. Can anyone help work out the cause?

Thx

Client Errors

Are you overlocking? Has this overclocking taken it's toll on this CPU? You are getting a lot of error 1, incorrect function errors, which if I recall correctly is a CPU issue, maybe do to heat.

Are the fans and heatsink(s) clean?

Hopefully you find the issue, and can clean it up.

or running at all? ive had a pc with one single case fan in the whole thing,, have the fan die before, no warnings, no sound, it was on the floor so i never noticed, but i sure noticed the temps rise!

do the usual stuff,, clean fans, grills, heat sinks. after that get something to check the temps. i use speedfan (its free) http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php there are others as well, some use motherboard monitor, but that dosent support "all" motherboards, and unfortunatly dosent support mine..

after all that, get memtest86+ and test your ram, it takes more then one pass to test reliably, so let it go over night.

and if all else fails and you are overclocking, back off on the clock some. or, set it back to stock and see if the error's go away.

seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.
