Hi,
I installed the boinc software x.13 on winxp. A message poped up with "can't connect to client" . I start the client and it works fine. So what I have to do that the client starts automatic and why is it not installed so, that it works without my extra activities?

Thank you

Matthias,

Depends on how automatic you want things. If you can live without it starting the minute you boot, you can take Boinc out of the startup sequence. That cures many of the "cannot connect to host" problems.

Thank you Michael, my

Thank you Michael,

my problem is, that the client doesn't start! I have to go to the folder and start the file. Then I have a comand.com task running.

I want to start the client automatic, without a comand.com window in the taskline (not the right word?)

in an other installation I installed boinc, create the projectlist and that was it.

What is wrong? Why is the client not installed correctly during the installation process?
