Both Rosetta and Einstein are not uploading any work. Downloads from Rosetta and Einstein are working fine. The latest count is 11 Rosetta units and 5 Einstein units waiting to retry uploading. This has been happening since last Friday. SETI, LHC and CPDN (trickles) are uploading just fine. I have set no new work for Rosetta and Einstein until I can figure out how to get the work I have uploaded. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Can't upload, Downloads OK

i uploaded 2 einstein results about 30 minutes ago, no problem. you can try looking up your error messages in the Boinc Wiki, which i find very helpful, or post them here (incl boinc cc), and someone may be familiar with them.

Jim, Have you tried

Jim,

Have you tried forcing upload manually? Try this: on the Projects tab, select which project to upload, then click "Update". As devn said, it would be helpful if you would include you information, Einstein version, Boinc version, any error messages. Also, you might unhide your computer/s, to make it easier for someone to diagnose.

Thanks,

Michael

I have tried manual upload

I have tried manual upload (Retry now on the transfer tab) and also tried an UPDATE as suggested. The update had no trouble communicating with the scheduler (see messages below). Boinc of course is trying periodically also. As you can see, there are several different error values (-103, -106, -127, 500). Other projects on the same computer are uploading fine. Downloads (until I stopped them this morning) from both Rosetta and Einstein are fine.
Boinc is 4.45
Rosetta is 4.77
Einstein is 4.79

Jim, In this area (boinc

Jim,

In this area (boinc communications) as in some others, I am over my head. There should be someone along soon who has expertise in this area.

In the meantime, here is the address of the error message section of the Boinc-Wiki: http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Error_Code

As you will see, the 500 code indicates a problem at the server end.

BOINC is designed to be fault tolerant. We users have to learn to trust in its abilities to get the job done without us having to "micromanage" it all the time. I continue to be impressed with how well it seems to be able to do this. It seems to have a very stubborn streak when users start trying to force it down paths it doesn't wish to travel :). Patience is paramount and BOINC will sort it out :).

Cheers,
Gary.
