Cannot log on to Albert@home

    Hello,

    I made an account yesterday at Albert@home to try ATI cards and used the same password as with Einstein@home as it recognized me. However I cannot log on to go ty my account to change some settings. Is that normal or did I something wrong. How can I get it work?

      Hi!

      When you follow the "forgot passord" link, you can alternatively log into albert with the "athenticator" string which you can lookup in the data directory of your BOINC installation:

      Look for the file account_albert.phys.uwm.edu.xml and inside that file, you will find a line

      very long string in hexadecimal notation

      Copy the authenticator sting to the respective input field in the extended login dialog (the one you get after clicking on "Forgot your password?").

      Don't share this string with others, it's as good as your password for access to your account.

        Thanks Bikeman,

        That did the trick.
        It is a bit confusing that einstein@home and albert@home share a lot.
