I have just noticed that a lot of my recently returned WU's are getting less credit than previously. After investigation, I have found that the other users against whom my results are validated are using akosf (all praise his name) optimised E@H clients. However, they are NOT using a Calibrating BOINC Core Client.

To be fair to everyone, (and particularly those not using optimised clients) is it possible that users using akosf E@H clients also use truxsoft BOINC clients (or similar). You can find trux BOINC clients at....

Thanks,

Calibrating BOINC Core Client

I'm not much into credit – CPDN is my #1 where "ill" benchmarks, "smart" calibration or even "fair" FLOPs mean very little...it is the work done that counts! but...

trux (all praise his name) is not continuing on further developments of his greats ideas. Some features are great and still superior to other BOINC cores, some are missing.

SETI went to FLOPs counting. Hopefully, othe projects will follow.
Boinc studio core has also credit correction mechanism. It also enables those will to put full CPU power into BOINC by faking cpu number and avoid "Curse of 32".

Not saying a bad word about trux's core, but showing other ways to go as well...

Honza, I agree that

Honza,

I agree that countings FLOPS, the same as SETI seems the fairest method of calculating credit.

Good look with CPDN. I cannot handle WU's that will be completed in 2008!!!

Fuzzy They don't take that

Fuzzy
They don't take that long, but there deadline (not enforced) gives you plunty of time.
I run it 1/3 to 1/2 the time on my systems and complete in 3 to 4 Mo. Even starting mow that would be well befor 2008, did you mean 2007? Would also be before that.
