Having just past the 5M mark i was thinking Boinc / Ubuntu / E@H was working like a well oiled machine....this morning the GPUs are now cooler than they should be.
I suspect a hard restart caused by unplugging my USB keyboard (yes i know better now) ....
I find yesterday´s BRP4 tasks ready to be uploaded are stuck giving the above error. GW tasks are ok and running as normal, so i´m pretty certain it is a local file problem.

I´m thinking a reset the project but that will probably lose the 25 WU completed...

Your key lines are:
BOINC thinks it's supposed be be uploading files with some content in them, but they're turning out to be empty or missing, presumably because of the crash.
I would turn to the Transfers tab in BOINC Manager, and abort the transfers for p2030.20120517.G43.98-01.62.C.b4s0g0.00000_1744_1_2 and p2030.20120517.G43.98-01.62.C.b4s0g0.00000_1744_1_3.
You may find that you then get errors for _4, _5, _6 and _7: keep aborting any file transfer reported as "EOF on socket read" (those jobs are toast already), and you might be able to salvage the rest.
