At first, please excuse my bad english...
Athlon64, XPSP2, Boinc 4.25, running Einstein + CPDN

After updating my Avast-Virus-Scanner, i had to restart my Windows. After restarting, the BOINC Manager was empty.
All tabs are empty, include Disk.
I can "Select Computer..." and connect with an other computer, then it shows the other machine. But i can not select localhost or 127.0.0.1.

In taskmanager is only running boincmgr.exe, in the taskmanager of the other machine i see boincmgr.exe and boinc.exe.

BoincView 1.0.1: When i select Options/Locations/update mode - "via networc access (using GUI RPC)" - that was the setting before restarting windows - : all is empty.
When i select "via direct file access (reading of client_state.xml)", then I see all, except Messages.
I have startet boinc.exe manually. Then I have seen in taskmanager, that boinc.exe and Einstein run, but nothing to see in Boinc-manager.

I have de-installed Boinc and then new installed, but nothing has changed.
It seems, that all files in the Boinc-Directory are existing.
What is wrong? Please, help.

BOINC Manager is empty

After restarting, the BOINC Manager was empty

I had this as well after restarting Windows. I have Boinc Manager to start in the system tray at startup and when opening Boinc Manager all tabs were empty as well.

I closed Boinc Manager and restarted it and then everything was fine. Did you tried this last one?

Oh yes, i tried it, but no result. It seems, that Boinc Manager don't detect the computer, where it runs (localhost, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.1.1), because he shows other machines (192.168.1.2 or 191.168.1.3).
And what is the reason, that boinc.exe is not startet?

It is a mystery... :

I did restart windows for 3 or 4 times, allways with the same bad result.
Now, i restartet it once more (without hope) and look: Boinc Manager runs well,
boinc.exe runs, all looks good.

I don't know the reason, but it seems, that all is o.k.
It is a mystery...

Only the graphics are not shown on this computer, but this is from the beginning of Boinc 4.25

Thank you, Thierry, for your help.
