I have an HD 7770 running under Win7 64-bit (Core2 Duo machine) that wasn't getting any work under BOINC 7.2.4 x64, apparently due to some bug in detecting the GPU. Therefore I upgraded to BOINC 7.2.5 x64 and now have the opposite problem. I have the minimum cache set to 0.25 days, the maximum additional set to 0.5 days, and each BRP5_1.34 runs about 2.75 hours on this setup, which should provide for a cache of about 8 tasks.
However, when I hit the "update" button, it started downloading, and I finally had to hit the "no new task" button when it reached 44 in the cache. I should presume this is a BOINC bug?
Is there anything I can do about it?

I did, and placed the cc_config.xml logging file in my BOINC directory to gather more data. Then (after a reboot) I hit the "Allow new tasks" button, and then the "Update" to try to recreate the condition. But now it says "not requesting tasks: not needed". So it must have been a startup problem, and I think it has gotten the message, for the moment.
