      With this 5.22, the 'remote control' function doesn't work like before, it seems that the boinc.exe has some inherent password

        Correct, if you did not create a password 5.2.2 will create one for you. Single computer users will not notice but for remote access you will need to change it to something more memorable. It is in the text file 'gui_rpc_auth.cfg'.
