Judging by the Wired article, it seems that Hawking might've been right about black holes leading everything to infinity and trying to break it - as it seems that the infinity applies to the surface - the vortex around the hole - rather than what's inside the hole itself - which I doubt is infinite! It likely has something there that leads to something - as the article says - electrical charge for one.
The question remains - is there anything actually inside a black hole - it's just we can't see it and everthing goes to the sides and gets pushed into an infinity (which I think is really 0 - as it's a 0 point with infinite amounts of matter going there), or is there just a bottom but nothing at that bottom. I don't really think that black holes actually lead to anything - like I don't believe they're wormholes nor do I believe that they're white holes either based on what this article says. Now wormholes might exist - they just are likely not at the bottom of a black hole - which may be just a gravity well with a surface vortex is all.
