    Had some suspicious things after upgrading.

    I could upload a result but not report it!
    For that I had to downgrade (to 4.19) the Client(that result for Host 6638 was then successfull).

      I upgraded all my computers to the v4.22 & so far I haven't had any problems Uploading or Downloading any WU's from the Projects I'm currently running ...

        Okay I try something else:

        I will install CC 4.22 in a new folder and then attaching "new" on each project.
        (Maybe the "show graphics" works then also for this project with CC 4.2x, with CC 4.19 no problem with that)
        It seems that the state-files are corrupted (to often upgrade/downgrade and from working for the pirates).

          Stopped there and the only click-box was [OK]

          I read in this thread @Seti that it could be a problem with my german version of WinXP, but as this is an international project, it should run in every possible language (at least the installer).

          Anyone else with this problems? In any other language?

          PS: I posted it here again, as the title of the thread seem to be appropriate.
          Here it was a bit more in context.

          littleBouncer, what language do you use for Windoze?

              There is a problem when the installer should tranlate the group name Users to Benutzer in German or the equal name in a other language. The localization is not working correctly in this case.

              As workaround it is possible to create a local group Users on the host before installing BOINC.

                natürlich tappe ich mal wieder in sowas, hatte auch noch ungewöhnliches Verhalten mit Predictor und somit ist mir auch klar weshalb die "Solo-Installation" einen dauernden Download-Error (wenn der Client die ersten WU's runterladen will, vorallem 'monster.dat' und 'scribbs.dat') verursachte. Meine Englischkenntnisse reichen oft nicht aus und scheitern an: a) mich klar auszudrücken beim Beschreiben des Problems, und auch an: b) was ich oft verstehe (durch meine Übersetzung)!
                Wenn ich Doris und Jens richtig verstehe, ist die Lösung (z.Bsp.):
                Ein neues Benutzerkonto(oder Gruppenkonto?) einzurichten mit dem Namen: Users.
                oder könnte man auch 'Benutzer' in 'Users' umbenennen?

                Sorry auch für mein spätes reagieren, kam erst jetzt dazu.

                (Meanwhile this host was continuing in crunching with the CC 4.19, and I reported a EAH-WU invalid (CPUtime was only 8 hours, also an effect from this upgrade/downgrade etc.). I hope the next will be valid and has "normal crunchtime")

                  Ich glaube nicht, dass es einen Zusammenhang zwischen dem falschen Gruppennamen und einem Download Fehler gibt.

                  Ja, einfach eine neue lokale Gruppe anlegen. Bei Windows XP deutsche Version ist der Weg: Systemsteuerung / Verwaltung / Computerverwaltung.

                  Nein, Benutzer in Users umzubenennen ist keine gute Idee. Beide sind so etwas wie Standardgruppen in Windows.

                  No, renaming Benutzer to Users is no good idea. Both are something like of standard groups in Windows.

                  Ich bin sicher der Fehler wird in der nächsten Version behoben sein. Der neue Installer kann zwar mehr als der alte, aber die Entwickler haben ihn noch nicht voll im Griff. Da werden vermutlich noch mehr Fehler auftauchen.

                  I am sure the bug is fixed in the next release. The new installer can do more then the old one, but the developers still don't have it under full controll. Probably there will surface more bugs.
