Hi,

Each time an Einstein@home work unit is completed, I get an application popup. This has happened twice. This is the info from the Event Viewer:

Application popup:
einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe -
Application Error : The instruction at "0x69612f23" referenced memory at "0x2c5d534b". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program

and

Application popup: einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x69612f23" referenced memory at "0x2020344c". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program

And in BOINC messages:

Einstein@Home - 2005-03-13 10:46:40 - Unrecoverable error for result H1_0710.4__0710.5_0.1_T09_Test02_3 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2, and also run Seti@home and Climate prediction.net in BOINC v4.19.

Anyone have a similar issue?

Re your reply to Frank Olsen

Re your reply to Frank Olsen (http://einsteinathome.org/node/188459) and to my post:

No I am not overclocking my CPU nor do I suspect that I have memory errors. I have been running Seti@Home (classic and BOINC) and climatepredication.net for a considerable amount of time on a stable PC/Windows installation (sic) without experiencing applciation popups of the sort described above. I suspect that there is a bug in einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe.

I have now upgraded BOINC to v4.25. However, due to the achitecture of BOINC,
Einstein@home runs as a separate OS process (einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe) when it get's its turn on the CPU, any bug in Einstein@home will not necessarily be rectified by a new version of BOINC. I am waiting for the current E@H work unit to complete and will report if this happens again upon completion.

Yes, I'm getting a similar

Yes, I'm getting a similar issue, I'm getting the error below:

4.25
- exit code -164 (0xffffff5c)

Resuming computation at 15764/1026152/1028402

***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION****
Reason: Access Violation (0xc0000005) at address 0x09892EC8 write attempt to address 0x08BD6D0E

My CPU isn't overclocked, and I don't have any system problems (faulty memory etc).
