Anybody running kernel 2.6.20 on a multiprocessor machine?

When looking with the tool top, it seems that both processes run on one CPU.
This is what top shows with this kernel:
Cpu0 : 0.0%us, 0.1%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.9%id, 0.3%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Cpu1 : 7.6%us, 1.9%sy, 80.6%ni, 6.6%id, 2.6%wa, 0.2%hi, 0.4%si, 0.0%st
So, one CPU is totally idle and the other one runs 100% nice processes, which are the cruncer processes (I start them with nohup in the background). And also both einstein_S5R2_4 seem to get only 50% of the time.
With kernel 2.6.18 both CPUs run with 100%nice and both einstein_S5R2_4 processes get close to 100% of CPU time.
I need to mention, that SMP generally works. If i start some different CPU-consuming process, then both CPUs run fine. So it is the combination of this kernel and boinc or einstein_S5R2_4.
I have a machine with 2 old Single-Core Opterons in it. There might be a different experience with dual-core CPUs.
So, if you are running a kernel newer that 2.6.18, it might be a good idea to look what top says ...

I have a dual processor dual core AMD Opteron 285 and it is running 2.6.20 Fedora Core 6 Kernel.
I have no such problem as you have. Top shows 4 WU's in progress at 96% to 99% each and Boinc Manager shows 4 jobs going at once.
You might want to check your prefances to see they have changed from 'Use at most 2 cpu's to use only 1 cpu'.

Just installed Ubuntu with a 2.6.20 kernel on my C1D notebook, so I'll be able to give a report on that soon.
EDIT: Just checked, and my notebook uses both cores allright...

2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 on a Conroe runs fine here.
But 2.6.17-1.2142_FC4smp on an Opteron 170 have had 6 "client error" now :(
