Running on my HTC Incredible

Running on my HTC Incredible 2 and it works great! Is it possible for the Android client to sync with BOINCstats/BAM! ?

Works fine on the MiOne

Works fine on the MiOne (Android 4.1 based). The first task already validated ok.

It is a pity that BOINC does not seem to report much details about the used SoC or phone, which makes comparison between different machines harder. But I guess in time....

So far: Smooth sailing. Nice :)

Completed my first Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo) v1.06 (NEON) task, and its got validate error, same as every NEON task I did at Albert@home

Indeed we never found out what is so special about this phone that it gives nonsense results when using the NEON. I remember you wrote that this device had problems on other projects as well?

Hi,

I've been running BOINC on my Motorola RAZR M (XT905) and noticed that the credit wasn't showing up. I found that it was throwing a validate error as described by Claggy above.

All tasks for computer 8227745

So I'll be disabling Einstein/NEON on this device until I hear about a fix for it. I'm guessing that would be here unless you know of a better thread to watch for news on this one?

I should also add that I'm running the World Community Grid app (faah-VINA) on this device with no issues.

Cheers,

Not yet, it is high on the list of things to be implemented in future versions, tho.

By default, BOINC on Android will only fetch work over a WIFI connection. To get EInstein@Home work allow computations on your tablet, I would suggest to:

a) conenct the tablet to a charger, make sure it charges to > 90 % battery capacity (better yet, let it charge to 100%(

b) make sure you have a working WiFi connection to the Internet, e.g. use Chrome to visit our website here to check.

c) to force an update, on the Projects tab, tap on the EinsteinAtHome entry. In the menu window that appears, tab on the "Update" option.

Ideally, after a few seconds teh Nexus should begin to download a task.

If not, then look up the device in your list of hosts here: http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/hosts_user.php . In the "Last Contact" column for the tablet entry, you should see more or less the current date/time (in GMT timezone), and if you click on it, you will get some (rather technical) debug info that could explain why the scheduler has found your device "unworthy" to get some work. This could be because BOINC thinks that the there is not enough free RAM left, or enough "disk space" to store the workunit, or because the initial benchmarking of the device gave an exceptionally low value, or....... Anyway this debug lo info should be valuable in explaining this.
