doh, stupid early morning brain. I ran that command on this machine (the AMD X2 6000) so that's the temp of the X2 6000. When run on the Quad, I get "no such file or directory" message.

Strange...
Note that the absolte path from your AMD box will not work on the Quad, try using it with the wildcard "*"
Scaled back the cpu voltage from 1.25 to 1.20 in hopes that's help abate the heat on those caps. I also temporarily hooked up an old 80mm heatsink fan to the "cha fan" connector and pointed it at those caps (actually kinda wedged it between the vid card and cpu heatsink) LOL
FSB freq - 200
PCIE freq - 100

That got me down to the low

That got me down to the low 44 min range.
changed fsb to 202 and multiplier to 12X

for a calculated 2.424, Kysguard reports similar
Well, I'm off to work. More fun later
max measured temp 46.2C
Well, I stuck around 20 min
)
Well, I stuck around 20 min longer than I should have....
that got me to the 43:20's range.
Now to change the FSB to 206 for a calculated 2.472 Ghz, Ksysguard reports similar.
FSB freq - 206
PCIE freq - 100
Processor freq mult - 12X
cpu-nb link speed - auto
cpu volt - 1.25
cpu-nb volt - auto
dram volt - 2.1
now I really gotta fly.
bye

Just got back,,,times down to mid 42 mins.
changed FSB back to 200, but turned up the multi to 12.5X

Yields 2.5 Ghz calculated. Ksysguard says similar
Hmmm, Anyone know a temp limit on the input caps? These are really, really warm, measureed a max of 75C
@ bikeman, your previous location used the wildcard and I copied that.
