Just noticed I made a typo. That should read more L2 cache.
Another thing if you don't want to pay extra for the 4800 drop down to the 4400 because it also has the larger cache.

Hello Steve.
Athlon 64 X2 4800+ isn't on AMD's catalog anymore... so it is VERY hard to find it in Europe. On the contrary, the 4600 X2 is easy to find.
No online shop in USA sells oversea... so...
And it doesn't matter if those chips are made in Dresden Germany !
Looks like a joke, but it isn't.

I found this card http://www.texmemsys.com/files/f000090.pdf they also offer the xp30 for 16 gflops peak.
