Of all the jobs (I don't recall how many) I have send in so
far
today I have received a client error message in the outcome column on 28 of
the them (0 credit), although I think my daily average actually went up.
However, I
didnot notice if my total points moved up. But I suppose any upward
movement in either could have been the result of "pending" jobs being
credited. Why am I getting these client error messages and did I actually
get credit for the jobs? Also, after your recent down period I seem to be
getting bombarded with those 15.47MB downloads. Far more than I need. Set
the control to "no more work"? Or just delete?

Thanks
Gary

28 Client Error Messages??

All the error messages I saw were due to one of two reasons. One was user aborted transfer...

5.2.7
WU download error: couldn't get input files:

h1_0358.0_S5R1
-114
user requested transfer abort

or user aborted via gui...

5.2.7

You're total credit and RAC are probably still going up because you have some credits in pending.

And because were coming to the end of this run, there are lots of data sets that only need 1 or 2 WUs run off of them. So many people are getting new data sets with every WU they download. If it's a problem, I suggest setting Einstein to No New Task (or No New Work depending on what version of BOINC you're using) and finishing out what's in your cache and then attaching to another project.

PS: This is definitely better asked in one of the number crunching type forums. The cafe is for fun and games.

Plus you told us here you

Plus you told us here you aborted all those results.

Gary, leave the Cafe to fun and games and go ask things like this in Cruncher's Corner and/or Problems and bug reports.
