I have a physics and maths background, Einstein was my first introduction to BOINC, it was the only project I ran on my old Mac for a long time. I recently built myself a new computer based on an AMD A8 APU on a mini ITX motherboard, squeezed into an old Mac G4 tower case, running Linux Mint 17.1 OS, and the extra computing power has enabled me to add a few more projects to keep BOINC busy.
