Is there anyone who can solve the connecting problem:
I can upload the results of my tasks, but it´s impossible to get the validation.

connecting problems

There have been many reports of proxy-access problems down the years, including (but not limited to) your v5.8.16
However, the very latest BOINC - v5.10.45 - moved from 'testing' to 'recommended' status just one or two days ago - is supposed to have cured them.
Try downloading and installing the new version: it will be very interesting to hear if it really does solve your problem.

I have version 5.10.45 and have the same problem - connection trough proxy (SQUID). Download work O.K. IE, Firefox, Opera and several other programs connect to internet O.K.
I am unable to send my resuls back to EINSTEIN@HOME.
The update from vers. 5.8.16

The update from vers. 5.8.16 to 5.10.45 solved my connecting problems.
Everything us running perfectly.

If you have access to the proxy, you can check the logs , or ask someone who has access to squid logs?
