And to think, you will be leaving the "Land of the Morning Calm" for the "Land of the morning rush hour" that lasts until noon, when the afternoon rush hour takes over.... There are days like this morning when Kwang Ju looks real tempting to return to.....

You've been to Austin, TX....

Hear that it gets hot in the summer, and cold in the winter, almost like Ohio.

Bloody hot in the summer, but not humid there like it is in Cleveland. I'd rather spend the summer in Austin than in Cleveland.

One or two cold snaps. Worst part is when it gets cold it doesn't really snow, but they get ice. There was a 75 car pile up on North I-35 and a 60 car pile up on South I-35 in the same area during an icestorm once. Needless to say, when they got freezing rain and ice I didn't get on the roads. Being from NE Ohio, I know how to drive in snow and ice (not that I like it). People from Texas have a hard time with rain in the summer. During the ice storm, the city practically shut down. A friend and I walked to a pizza shop at like 6:30 and they were in the process of closing up. UT was closed the next day (or maybe it was 2). Shucks.

gotta love it, im in georgia, we dont get ice storms often. but when we do, dont bother going any where, no one leaves. i admit, and so does most folks, us southern folk have no clue how to drive on ice.

guess its a good thing i cant drive. :)

seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.

The problem in Cleveland is the nuts who drive like it's summer when it's snowing like crazy.

I once hit a patch of black ice and ended up on the side of the road facing west. Too bad I started out going east.

Don't worry in the North they can't drive on Ice eather, we like the snow for driving on.

Down under it feels like global cooling from what has been said in another thread.
