It was a pleasure to help and get results.

Support for radeon-profile fizzled about 3 yrs ago and it wouldn’t work at all with my RX6800.  I switched over to corectrl.  Great info presentation, fan control works well, gpu performance mode (ie, clock control) is adequate and there is current support for new AMD hardware. if you do use it, pay attention to the warning about the Ernst ppa.

Installed and played with corectrl last night and once you get over the hurdle of a 'what is a profile and what does it want' it's a very nice option.

It seemed to hold the card settings much better than Radeon-Profile I set the card up to 2710MHz core clock and it was still at that this morning!  One missing thing is it's not picking up lmsensor k10temp for tctl (which on the R5 5700G and R9 7700X is = Tdie, no offset).  Would think that should be in the CPU tab... but I can get that from a systray applet in cinnamon.

I'll have to install it on the dual card box today and see how it handles that... it's a problem for R-P that barely works there.

On this box I turned off autostart for R-P and PSensors and set corectrl up to autostart w/o asking for my PW.

Thanx again, Skip

Corectrl worked fine with my dual RX480’s. These cards/driver reported fewer parameters than my RX6800 but still enough info to be functional.

You might post on GitHub/corectrl about the missing temp issue.
