I just got a new tablet, only to discover the only apps compiled for its platform are SETI and Collatz. I'd much rather run an E@H app than either of those.

Currently we have no plans to support Android/x86. All our developers are more than busy with other projects with a higher priority at the moment, sorry.

Ok, I can understand your

Ok, I can understand your current priorities being elsewhere. That leaves me wondering if E@H is still willing to accept apps gotten to compile on other platforms by 3rd parties (back when I first joined IIRC there were a few proprietary RISC architectures supported this way), and how difficult getting a port is likely to be?

I'm primarily a Windows/C# developer and - while this might be prohibitively outside my comfort zone - am currently looking for smallish projects to buff my resume.

In principle yes, via the anonymous platform mechanism. Before putting any effort into porting, you will want to double-check that the Android client supports anonymous platform, tho.

I'll make sure to check that if/when I make an attempt; it's probably going to be at least a few weekends before I'm free to try though.
