Could somebody tell me why this WU is invalid? I seem to have over 230 invalids since I started running a new GTX 670 card... trying to see what's up with the hardware...

Thanks!

Over 230 Invalids with new GTX 670 card... HELP!!!!

A validate error indicates that the result file uploaded to the severs was somehow corrupt or contained info that should not be there. The validator performs a sanity check before trying to compare your result to that of your wingman and your result did not pass this check.

Are you overclocking the card or your CPU? If so, try running at stock speeds to see if that helps.
What's the temps on the card and CPU? Maybe try to raise the speed of the fans to lower the temps.
Is the power supply sufficient for your system?

Well, 750W PSU running things, no problem there. However, I've had some problems with the WiFi connection on it... and I had a tiny overclock on the GPU and NO CPU overclock. (i5-4670K on H97 board)

So, I'm trying it all stock clocks now again with antivirus turned off and a new WiFi dongle...

We will see!

Thanks!

Stock clocks: I had to

Stock clocks:
I had to underclock both my 560Ti to get valid results.
Regardless the OS (WinXP or Debian), both GPUs had to be underclocked to approx. 850MHz from the stock clock 900MHz.
As for RAM overclocking - even a few MHz may cause troubles, it is more sensitive than GPU.
Maybe your case is similar.

At the risk of thread creep,

At the risk of thread creep, I run a couple of hosts with GTX 660 cards. One of them has occasionally done a spontaneous downclock, which is pretty annoying and loses me Einstein output until I reboot.

I'm currently using Afterburner to lower the clock rate from (overclocked) stock. Have people here experience in remedies for this particular malady? The obvious points of intervention seem to be GPU clock, memory clock, and GPU voltage.

Back on topic, despite the occasional and annoying downclocks, I don't have an invalid result problem with either of my 660 cards.

I ran OCCT and also ran a

I ran OCCT and also ran a bunch of PrimeGrid after making changes and it seems to be working fine now...

I suppose the GTX 670 OC card I have is already maxed out so I will leave it as is. It is possible I may have to downclock it a bit too.

For the other 560 Ti 900MHz owner, I have two of them water cooled and they will both mess up if the temp gets above 60C or above 980MHz. I just let them run 900 and leave them there running around 55C 24/7.

Soo, looks like the 670 is maxed out the way it is... we will see.

Thanks!
