McShane wants to join a team, not searching the Forum threads. Maybe a closed team, based on invitation? Or some bug?
I was thinking he could search for his team and then click on it rather than type out the whole name including spaces which doesn't work
what gives you the impression that that is what McShane is doing? it doesn't sound like he has any problem FINDING the team. he knows exactly what team he wants and how to get there. he's having a problem JOINING the team. "When I click to join" is pretty clear here.
not sure if it's a closed team, as I can't see any join link while I'm already on a team. but I think if it was a closed team, the link wouldn't even be there to click. I know our team needs to be manually opened for new registrations for example.

It is now 5 days that I have asked this question why can't I have permission to access choosing a site and no reply from any the manager. I can't join any team....

Hmm, your statements confuse me a bit. I assume you haven't been able to join the team you want yet. I would try different web browsers. Possibly an adblocker is active that blocks any necessary (JavaScript?) code (wild guess). Did you log in to your e@h account (yes... of course, you can't post here without logging in).... Hmmm.
Now I'm member of "The Scottish Boinc Team". Team searched... clicked "join"... works. I used Windows and Firefox web browser.
The team offers an externally hosted team forum (see link above), where you are invited to join. Maybe you meant, you can't join this external team forum?

This what I did:
1.Using Windows and Firefox browser I logged into my Account.
2. In MyStats, I selected Team, and in the Search option I typed: The Scottish Boinc Team and clicked search. I received the following: Forbidden - you don't have permission to access this resource.
3. In the Teams option I did the same and received the same reply.
4. In the Team option I typed TSBT in the Search option, clicked search and voila I got in and joined.
