I uploaded 4 results at about the same time
The S5R1a DID validate
and the S5RIa dondt validate
It seems like the valitator is working but only for the small units

Regards

So, it would appear that the backend is focused on wrapping up the previous run. Hopefully, any stragglers should finish up that run quickly so that Bruce and company can work on getting the hardware and this run working like it has in the past.

OK - I have a bunch of larger

OK - I have a bunch of larger units (about 50 of these) waiting validation. I guess I should have 'stayed the course' of what I was doing a couple of weeks ago -- no new work, clear the queues, and wait for some announcement that Einstein was back in business with *real* new work.

It seems at the moment that processing for Einstein is somewhat akin to processing for Seti Classic at the end of its data run, work sent out largely for the sake of keeping folks sated with work to process, but not appreciably helping with the science effort. These days, there are other projects doing work, so it makes sense to divert until Einstein has the new work ready to send out.

Hm, I checked my last 2000

Message 60150 in response to message 60149

Hm, I checked my last 2000 WorkUnits, and so far all validated to 100.0%...

The only small oddity is an above average amount of Pending (21500 Credits) with no visible cause. But apart from that, all normal-normal I would say (?)

Since they did change the analysis, I wouldn't call it equal to SAH's tradition of overly WorkUnit "Recycling", got no heartburns doing that work IMHO.

LUCK, that's all it is......Pure Luck. LOL

I still have 60 returned and pending, NON granted. I have a 7day cache, so I'll see how high it goes. 3237 credits pending.

Since my computer farm of one

Since my computer farm of one is quite clearly laid out, I have to state that my WUs have not been validated since some time yesterday, though for all of them is the second companion already in and claims validity as well.

I'd like an answer from the team as well, though I clearly expect the solution of "wait and see" (or as we Germans say: Abwarten und Tee trinken) will work well. I just hope the tea is not going to cool down too far ;)

When I was running Einstein

Message 60155 in response to message 60150

When I was running Einstein as my primary, I was generating about 4K credit a day,
and my pendings ran from 1500 to 2500.

With the issues of the past six weeks or so, I moved Einstein back in the queue amd generating 1.5K credits a day. Pending was running under 1K. That started to increase about 10 days ago to the point where pending was running 1.5K. Then with yesterday, no credit, pendings doubled. Right now, my pendings are at 2300, and I got about 800 credits validated.

I take your point that I was being too negative about what the project is doing with the existing units, there is some scientific value, I guess I'm thinking that for other projects, at the moment, they are doing 'first run' science. Since Einstein will be doing that in the future, I'm not killing off accounts, I've simply chosen to let them run dry for now. The folks at World Grid and Rosetta and to a lesser degree SETI and Climate will pick up the slack for now.

One thing here, because of the smaller user base, the inclination to provide flash status updates regarding stumbles of one form or another is less present (at least on the home page). That means moderators are tasked to provide information, and that information only goes to folks who troll the message boards.

That being said, other projects typically provide even less timely status information, certainly less on the web pages.

Oh, one last thing, it seems

Oh, one last thing, it seems there remains some issues with the database -- or the servers which support the database (at least one of which supports the home page, as I periodically can not get connectivity to Einstein at all. I find that a bit disconcerting. For newsgroup messaging, that means Notepad is my friend (cut copy paste) as with this particular message.

As an example of this instability, as I was composing this message, Einstein temporarily vaporized. I got a Couldn't connect to hostname error. A couple of minutes later it came back up. Just leads one to a feeling that one is on something of an earthquake fault zone at the moment.
