I don't have an HT processor either, but I know I the issue has been discussed here at length. It's been several months so the threads aren't active anymore - but you should be able to find them but doing a keyword search.

The previous S5 apps did show

The previous S5 apps did show a net gain with HT enabled. I don't recall seeing anything about the most recent one though.

It processes 2 tasks at once like a dual-core, however since there is only one real core they run much slower. Even though each task runs slower there is normally about a 30% gain in total production.

Yes I think we can say that you three types :
- The so called 'HT' intel processor, one chip/one core but two virtual cores
- The chip with two cores like Pentium D or AMD X2
- and two separate chips.

If you take a Pentium 4 and a Pentium 4 HT, the HT will crunch two WUs at a time but will be (+/- 20%) slower that if you run the same two WUs with two separate P4.
