Brings back the memories .......that Albert Flasher (live Guess Who)in Seattle where I live and was born many moons ago
And that CCR was nice too.......I still have the original copy of Cosmos Factory I bought for my 13th birthday in 1971 (6 months after it came out the summer of 1970) and I bought a half-speed remastered version on virgin vinyl way back around 1982 that has never been played.
Back then we thought switching from 8-track tapes to cassettes was high-tech!

The music was much better back then, I still have about 50 real to real tapes of music from the 60's and 70's. Most were recorded from the LP's so the quality is good on them. Sometime I will have to see how to hoo the tape deck up to the computer to got those into MP3 and WMF files. All were recorded at 7½ IPS for the bast sound.
If I do that it probably will keep me busy for about half a year doing one song at a time but will be worth it.
In 1968 and 69 I was in Okinawa, and recording the tapes was one way of passing the time. Well worth if as they have had a lot of use since.
CCR and the Guess who I have on WMF files, a lot of others on MP3's.
If you also like the Greatfull Dead I have some of there song at my web site.

I agree with you Ray.
I had checked your family website (nice btw)and was wondering if you had a page of music there and you have some of my old favorites there too.
I remember seeing Grand Funk Railroad and Neil Young a few times in the 70's and early 80's
I clicked on that one GFR tune since I still have that original album and was surprised and glad to see it was actually that old "Blues Image" tune called Ride Captain Ride (I'm playing it while I type this) I only hear that once a year on the local golden oldies radio station in the car but haven't heard the GFR "Closer to home/I'm your captain" for many years since my good old linear tracking lp player has been missing a cartridge for decades now.
(Janis Joplin was great too of course)
Many years ago I had a nice reel-to -reel machine but don't know where it is now but I do have reels of tapes I made back in the 70's and I have no idea what is on them.
I remember getting one of those tiny portable reel-to-reel machines when I was about 13yrs old and used to tape all the time but those are all long gone.
Thanks again (reminds me of the original "Napster" days too )
