I noticed the temperature had gone up to 72-76 C for the GPU. I guess it runs at full speed now. Does anyone using AMD GPUs know, is this temp OK?
72-76C is OK for that GPU crunching at full speed.
I'll bet it's not at that temperature right now though. You have currently completed all GPU tasks on board and don't seem to be getting any new replacements. BOINC will not fetch any new work while there are ANY suspended tasks on your computer.
I tried to warn you about this in a previous message. If you want your expensive piece of idle hardware to actually crunch something, you had better resume all suspended tasks until BOINC can get enough GPU work to last for say around a day. Make sure you double check your work cache settings. Once that is achieved you can suspend excess CPU tasks again if you wish UNTIL you need BOINC to fetch some more GPU tasks. The only tasks you need to suspend are ones named 'LATeah...' since they have 14 day deadlines and can be done later once you have completed as many GW as possible. As previously mentioned, you will need to abort more of those GW tasks at some point as the deadline on 02 March gets closer.
It's interesting to note that since you have run out of GPU work, your GW CPU tasks are running faster. If you check out some validated GW tasks on the website, you will see the most recently completed ones have elapsed times around 60K secs whereas the time was around 80K secs when the GPU was running full speed. I imagine this faster speed will slow again once GPU crunching resumes.
Do you follow and understand what I'm writing? If you were to indicate what's not clear, I could perhaps try to explain things better if you don't.
I just checked your AMD host again and (with the extra ones aborted) you are down to your last 5 GW tasks and they should all be finished by the deadline. Well done with getting this all back under control.
I notice you have kept all the FGRP4 and FGRPB1 tasks, which is good. You will be able to resume all of them and they will have a further 7 days in which to be returned. They will go quite a bit faster than the GW tasks so there should be no problem with them.
You have new BRP4G and BRP6 tasks and already there are quite a few freshly completed BRP4G showing nice fast times.
Congratulations on getting everything back on track and thank you very much for your strong contribution from that machine. The RAC is going up very strongly :-).
