has "validate errors" does that mean that eventually it could get credits? Or is it just over for me as far as any credits ever being awarded?
I cannot promise anything, but in the past, when there had been mass problems of validation failures affecting a large group of volunteers, and the affected accounts could be identified with reasonable effort, credit has been granted later.
But needless to say, highest priority for the admins will be to fix the problem in the first place.
I am not sure this is related but in fact, there is a batch of new ABP2 workunits generated that will pack more work into each task (vredit is adjusted accordingly). The reason is twofold: first to generate less server load , second to prepare the project for the release of a new CUDA version of ABP search in the hopefully not so distant future.

no problem :)
i wouldnt even have noticed except i started work again after letting my hosts have a break for summer (hottest on record here) so i was keeping tabs to see if anything needed to be worked on. :)
ive got another one this morning, but since the dev's know about the issue i dont think i need to post it.
seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.
The reason for the problem has been found, basically the result files for those bigger units ended up on the wrong server where the validator would not see them.
ABP2 work distribution has resumed, and the admins will look into moving the previously sent results and maybe also recover the lost credit after the weekend.
If you still experience problems with results that are upload after this message was posted, please report it again.

Is this bout of validate errors why I've seen a significant increase in pendings over the past two days? I typically run from 5500 to 6500 in pendings, from Friday to this morning, I've gone from 6060 to 6830 to 8110, along with a drop off in daily credits.
Yes, I also noticed that all my latest(after fix of first error above) APB2 WUs (including those where there are 2 ready results already from me and wingman) are stuck at the stage of validation(all pendings) .
However if you look at the server status page(http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/server_status.html):
ABP2 validator # 0 einstein-wug Disabled
ABP2 validator # 1 einstein-wug Disabled
ABP2 validator # 2 einstein-wug Disabled
ABP2 validator # 3 einstein-wug Disabled
The reason will become clear - all ABP2 validators are disabled. The probability admins find some other errors in it, and the temporarily disabled so as not to generate a new validation errors in the normaly calculated WUs.
Need wait next update...
Yes, the validators were disabled intentionally because of the validation glitch described in this thread. This makes sure that no new results are generated and sent out for the workunits where validation would fail because of mis-routed result files.
The admins are working on it.

The admins are working on it.
For the moment no new ABP2 tasks will be sent to hosts. It might take until after the weekend to resume normal ABP2 task generation.
The S5GC1 tasks are not affected by this glitch.
Again, thanks for bringing this to the attention of the forum!

Well Bikeman and admins thanks for the quick responses and a fix. Even as it is Saturday. Many projects could learn from Einstein@home.
