I have been having the same

I have been having the same problem on one of my hosts. It is running client 6.10.18. While I was traveling on business, it downloaded and queued nearly 1000 tasks.

Since then, I have turned off accepting new tasks and I have had to abort hundreds of these tasks because I knew that my host (even with it's 8 processors) wouldn't finish them in the alloted time.

Is there a fix or configuration change that will solve this? All my other hosts don't seem to have this problem.

Thanks,
Rod

The difference is the GPU in the 8-core computer. If you don't want to disable th GPU (via cc_config.xml), you could try to set the amount of additional work for this computer (venue) to zero. That seems to have worked for some users (see Olaf's post earlier in this thread).

I can say 6.10.29 doesn't fix

I can say 6.10.29 doesn't fix the problem.

One of my hosts is going through the same thing. Lots of extra work.

Just to make things more interesting, it's now kicking some work into high priority mode. Normal right? Not exactly. Some of the WU's it's kicking into high priority have a deadline of Feb 12 2010, while other WU's with a deadline of Feb 7 2010 are sitting there with "ready to start". These are all Einstein GW 3.01 units.

Very odd. Time to go NNW again.

Here's the host in question Link
