My gas came out hotter than usual *gaze blankly into distance* It does that sometimes.

Excuse me my dear lady, might I take issue with that perchance?

The energy value of natural gas passing through the National Grid pipeline system has a Calorific value of 37.5 MJ/m3 to 43.0 MJ/m3. Carefully regulated by law, and designed not to burn sausages. I would suggest that you had you burner turned up too high and therefore had a higher flow volume per minute, thereby producing more heat to a specific place.

Ah yes. Tingsalvee

Ah yes. Tingsalvee :

... contains all the high molecular weight hydrocarbons from crude oil ( stopping just short of bitumen ). If it's good enough to preserve dinosaurs then it's good enough for me :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I remember back in the 1960's we always had something
in the medicine cabinet which came in a 2 to 3inch
square Red metal can. I believe it was some sort of
'Horse Salve" which also apparently worked well on humans : )

I can't remember the name of it.

"Bag Balm" works VERY well on callouses, it was designed for cows udders, I buy it in the green square cans and use it on my feet, keeps them soft and crack free!

Chris S here in the 'Colonies' lots of pigs are now raised in barns they never leave and walk around on metal floors with slots in them. They don't live too long anyway before they are sent off to make bacon, bbq meat, whatever and never actually roll around in their own poop anymore. They get hosed down by overhead sprinklers every few hours so they are kept cool and feel no need to roll around at all. They just walk around eating and pooping all day long, getting bigger and bigger until they get in the truck to become food.

Good morning everyone!!!

Pigs are rapidly becoming like chickens, 6 weeks from being born to on our tables as LARGE roasting birds. Selective breeding has created pigs that grow faster and leaner, with still enough fat to be flavorful, and make money for the farmer. Pigs are not that fast yet, but they are working on it.

If I was to honestly tell you

If I was to honestly tell you what I think about battery farming, whether it is hens, pigs or whatever, and what I would like to do the scum that run those places, I would be banned from here permanently. I pay well over the odds for free range hens eggs, and I avoid stuff from any similar farming methods for anything that I buy. I also campaign against the production and sale of Foie Gras, and don't even get me started on the Annual Canadian seal slaughter and Japanese whaling.

I refuse to have anything to do with Spain and their products because of their lack of animal welfare, i.e. throwing live goats off bell towers, the Pamplona bull run, and bull fighting.

At the present moment it costs me £100 per month to belong to the following.

PETA
IFAW
Humane Society International
Cats Protection League
League against Cruel Sports
Hunt Saboteurs
Blue Cross
Dogs Trust

I think I have made my position clear, and I am not of a mind to continue this conversation further.
