Things are going well here.

Things are going well here.  No winner yet, and no clues offered yet either.

But keep trying!

WOO HOO!! I'm hoping you get it working!!

Me too! :)

Off now to find out why they're not happy with my home heart tests. I thought they went rather well ... nothing fell off or got dropped in the bath. I didn't snare myself in vegetation, nor inadvertently garrotte myself with any of the tubing... everything appeared to be in working condition when I gave it back... I don't know what more they could have wanted...

I'll work on my TLPTPW winning speech while I'm out ;)

When I win can you send it to me please...thank you very much! ;-)

As for your heart thingy as my Dr told me...yu aren't getting younger and something will end you one day, don't expect all these tests to come back as if you were 20, normal become relative as we get older. I too hope your tests come back 'normal' for however old you may be, 20 or otherwise.

If they wanted normal they

If they wanted normal they should have looked for someone else to truss up with wires and boxes and stuff, Mikey ;)

Take my highest blood pressure readings as an example. Every time it hit 300 (over an undeterminable number) it errored out because the box didn't measure higher than that. And every time it did that, I had done one of my I've-just-fallen-asleep-so-I-can-wake-up-almost-immediately-in-a-state manoeuvres... making my average "resting blood pressure" 289 over 143, and my average "active blood pressure" 180 over 105 (even though several of those ones were my normal pressurised me of 120/80 - which makes dosing me without making me fall over - complicated apparently).

They've had all the dots since last November, it's just no one thought to join them up in a "she's heading for trouble - let's prevent it" kind of way. Now it's a mess of upcoming tests looking at: my brain; then again at my brain functioning asleep and awake (I foresee problems with those ones); and kidneys; and heart; and blood - so that if I do drop dead, they'll at least have some suspicion as to what it was that could have been done that wasn't beforehand.

I'm not sure where that sits on the snafu scale but thank you for the kind wishes, peoples :)

I've got a much better idea :) when I win... I'll deliver it slow enough for you to write it down! *beam generously at all einsteinians* :) Randy will probably have some pencils and paper you could all borrow for that...

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your interesting case history.  Frankly it makes me almost think when you rest if something inside you is getting a kink or pressed closed.

Best wishes and good luck.

Anniet.  Decades ago I took a course in cardiovascular pathophysiology (I was in graduate school in electrical engineering, and thought I was going to do something useful and interesting in the way of medical instrumentation).  I recognize your blood pressure readings as scary high.

Best wishes and good luck.

By the way, after making zero progress toward my hoped-for thesis project in a couple of years, I dropped out, and went to work for the only company on the interview schedule I thought might take me.  Intel was not yet six years old.  It worked out.

Good luck Annie.  I'm sending good thoughts.

Now, this raspberry pi thing was supposed to be a fun side project.  Not so much.  I don't know how to hook up the monitor.  I have one cable that came with the monitor.  I have another that came with the pi.  Neither cable works in the other part.  I have a call in to my geeky brother.  Hopefully he can help  :)

Now that is REALLY frustrating. Does one have a VGA connector while the other has an HDMI one?

Mine did that for a few months until they put me on a different bp med, I told the NP that there was no way I had any blockages because the pressure was sure pushing everything around well, she laughed. We went thru several different ones until she found one that works for me, I stayed on each one for about a week or so to give it a chance then moved to the next one. When she found the right one though BOOM it dropped to normal after one dose and has been good ever since, that was more than 10 years ago now!!

Now THAT'S not a good thing, someone dropped the ball and you are paying the penalty for it!! As for tests I had to have ALOT of tests done before my surgery 18 months ago, they pocked, prodded, scoped me up and down and gave me a shot to make my heart race then gave me some radioactive die and took LOTS of x-rays to see if I had any blockages in my heart etc, etc, etc. I came out with no problems other than the ones the normal everyday tests had already revealed, I ate poorly and it showed in my normal urine and blood tests!!

I hope you can figure out who dropped the ball and get them to understand what they did by not following thru.

That won't work for me, my handwriting is worse than a Dr's, often I can't read it myself!! I went to the grocery store with a list one time, got distracted over something they could do better and went to an asst manager who wrote my suggestion on the form, after my insisting they wouldn't be able to read what I wrote if I wrote it. The lady and I got to talking afterwards about how she can read 'anything' and I showed her my list with the one thing I couldn't read, she said "that says lemon juice" and she was RIGHT!! I thanked her profusely and walked off to get my missing juice.

Ohhh btw I am now winning!!!
