All of a sudden everything worked. I noticed that all of the units have validate errors. Could that have some bearing with this issue ?
I was always able to hit the upload server just not able to complete the upload. So does that prove that I did not have restrictions?
My guess is that the validate errors result from incomplete uploads, so it's probably the result of whatever problem there is uploading, not the cause.
Well did a another work unit. It uploads to 100% Then quits. I have access to the upload site. . . then . . . quits.

What about the previously suggested debug output options? And did you really check http_1_0?

For this and other HTTP related problems, I wonder whether it might help to use a desktop proxy for debugging purposes, just to see what is going on.
For example I'm using a lightweight http proxy written in JAVA, called "Muffin", modified to dump uploads to Einstein onto disk. It's a relatively small download, easily started, easily un-installed, works cross-platform.
The idea would be to start it on the affected host, change the boinc settings to use this proxy, and see what happens in terms of diagnostic messages.
What do you think, would this be worthwhile? Without any diagnostic tools it's really hard to analyse problems like this one.
