It is unbelievable, but is great. But it is already know pulsar.
What about new ones?

That's part of the plan, too. I guess to date ( historically ) all the low hanging fruit has been plucked. But I'm sure new ones are welcome ... :-)

Cheers, Mike.

You think, new unknown pulsars will be published also in this table as soon as they will be found, do you? Or there will be some time for scientists for closed test of the discovery?

Hi!

A candidate for a "new" pulsar would trigger a reobservation request to confirm with a second observation that it's a real source and not just RFI. So there would be a bit of delay.

Speaking of heat

Speaking of heat wave.....35°C outside , 31°C inside (no air con), and according to Bruce Allen's smartmontools, the HD of my quad core is now at 52°C .... ufff I think this is not healthy.

Well, it seems that the heat wave here has been short-lived. The past few days have been rainy, with temperatures below normal for this area at this time of year.

But, I'm sure the heat will return at some point, so I'll keep the computers shut down for a while longer.

(Besides, it'll give my electric meter a break.)

Okay folks, the weather here

Okay folks, the weather here is finally nice and cool, and I've been firing the computers back up. I should be caught back up in no time.

Well, I thought I'd be making a good come-back. Now, it seems that the hard drive in my most productive machine has gone bad.

But the good thing is that with the current recession, and the advancing technology, drives are really cheap right now!

I just bought a 1.4 TB USB external disk for 89 euros. Then I saw it sold in the UK from 80 pounds to 130 pounds.
