I think a screensaver should be a screensaver, I don't like to have interactions in that. And besides that it would probably be easier to implement this as a simple dedicated web site than as an actual application for n different platforms.
The new "Mock" instrument is much more sensitive than the original "camera", so for the distance both the resolution and the total range are increased.

Any simple rule / formula to convert DM values to distance?
