@Mike & Magic WA = Western

@Mike & Magic
WA = Western Australia
WA = Washington, USA

It was forestry's position for many years to put out, put out, put out. However recently they have realized all they have done it make the fires much hotter and bigger by allowing too much fuel to accumulate. So these days as long as people/property aren't threatened they let them burn. It is healthy for the ecosystem in the long run.

Well then, forestry needs a kick up the arse to get its act together doesn't it? What a namby pamby, hoity toity, sit back and do nothing attitude. Perhaps if they planted forests with proper fire breaks it might help.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Perhaps you have a future job training the birds where to poop their undigested seeds. ;-)

Forestry's attitude was immediate profits now and the hell with the future!!!

Sounds rather familiar these days.

Way back in the 80's there

Way back in the 80's there were very generous tax breaks for people that invested serious money in renewable forests. Everyone from pop stars to businessmen jumped on the bandwagon, to get good returns for their money. But too many rip off merchants got into the act and planted total rubbish. I believe the schemes got so discredited that they were scrapped.

Sorry, I have already been recruited to train pigeons to aim more accurately at people that post their own crap. But I have warned them that the results will be slanted because most of the targets wear tin foil head coverings.

Hey, bartender! A double

Hey, bartender!

A double order of deep fried bacon (sweet pastry batter type) with chocolate sauce, and a large drink with a little fruit juice and a lot of booze.

I have useless training this afternoon. The kids have a half day and management thinks that with no kids here we have nothing to do. Actually, that's the time when we get the most done... unless we have training.

Good god man! I think you should spend the afternoon giving your taste buds an annual service, they are definitely malfunctioning :-))

Also you will probably find that your site's safety certificate requires so many hours per year for training that has to be documented. Management probably expects Day to day maintenance to be done in your tea breaks or magically overnight. If it's that bad get the union to have a word with them.

That is why it is a best seller at the county fair along with deep fried anything and everything including the kitchen sink.
