RE: Just wondering since I

Just wondering since I have been with the LHC even longer than here (since that project started just before this one) and for some reason the Atlas and vLHC sites don't go beyond the home page today.

Wish I could help but I can't so I won't :)

I try to deny it as much as possible but my ears give me away I think...

Now as far as Phils BB gun.......well I just happen to have a couple thousand BB's and I will reload for him if I can borrow his.

Mine is a pistol version and I can't hit the broad side of a barn unless I shoot at the barn from a few feet away

That good! *pause to catch breath* I'm impressed! I don't hit anything I've aimed at...

Its purpose is to make sure the blue jays here finally understand the seeds in my bird feeders are for the lil chickadees and finch and other lil birds.

That way I can watch the tv with both eyes instead of having one look at the window 30 feet away where those bird feeders are.

Doubt that even a rifle could shoot the bees off the hummingbird feeders though

Awwwwwwww... hummingbird feeders.... :) I have similar issues with a pair of what I believe are the most intellectually challenged wood pigeons ON the planet. They've grasped some of the more basic principles of gravity... I think... and slow deranged panic.

I've given up chasing them off... they get into such a state when I do, poor things :)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

This is indeed handy to know if either of you go Johnny Rambo here. I'll stand right in front of you and spread my limbs to present a good & wide target. Safest method.

Cheers, Mike.

They're beautiful :) Thanks

They're beautiful :) Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the pics! That's a lot of sugar - but the pleasure you get must be tremendous!

I recently visited a museum in London and was appalled to discover myself looking into a display case of Victorian earrings and other jewellery and having a variety of these little guys (bee hummingbirds) stuffed and mounted staring back at me :((((

@Mike

I shoot from the hip you know :) but in front will still be the safest place :) unless I'm aiming behind me...

... that's a close call in our backyard. We have rotund 'bronze-wing' pigeons that sit and stare at the plump rabbits, whom in turn sit and stare back at them. But that's quick 'n' easy fresh meat, often as fast as you can say raptor. Damp squeaks abound as they disappear into FAT air.

@MAGIC : those helicopter guys are so good. They have some of the fastest neural pathways on the planet, which in turn is why they need all that sugar. Their size is limited by aerodynamic scaling issues, but also heat dissipation concerns. An elephant sized hummingbird would cook itself ....

Cheers, Mike.

There are paper bags

There are paper bags available at each cubicle, for throwing up or breathing into when panicked. But please don't mix the two types up ... and they are clearly marked*. They are changed .... errr ... regularly.

Cheers, Mike.

* ... by scent ie. if someone has used it before, you'll know.

( edit ) I am looking into getting some physics books available to you all. For when there are quiet moments to study & reflect upon the majesty of the foundations of The Universe. I reckon they may be given via intravenous infusion, possibly I might be able to obtain inhalations too. Failing that then it's either the catheter lab or stereotactic neurosurgery .... aren't you all so glad that I have medical qualifications ? Have I told you about my great uncle, Dr Strangelove ? Or was it Dr Lovestrangle ? :-0

Due to an impending shortage

Due to an impending shortage of Scooby snacks, a replacement is on high priority for procurement.

To reduce withdrawal symptoms everyone will receive one free lobotomy, courtesy of Dr. Hewson. Thank you doctor, for the generous donation of your time!

Phil

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

No problem. It's easy really.

No problem. It's easy really. I do mean that. Just make a decent hole and have good suction at hand. See one, do one, teach one. A doddle. Calms the nerves really quickly, and definitely no relapsing later on. For me it is more soothing than yoga and it's never hurt me once.

Cheers, Mike.

Phil

I have a friend who was using a chainsaw in a tree when he cut the branch he was standing on he ended up giving himself a lobotomy when he hit the ground with his head landing on the running chain. He was NOT a nice guy pre lobotomy, but afterwards he was actually fun to be around, he actually joked about being nice now as opposed to before! So apparently they DO work!
