...
These new optimized apps seems to get more and more complicated to set up,
it's starting to go over my head, and I'm still quite clever for beinga a girl.

Put the patcher, the patch AND the einstein*.exe in the same folder. Then run the patcher...
Hope it helps!

The command should be more like
(directory containing app and patcher and dat)...\\patcher S5S0007.dat

So in your case H:\\BOINC\\projects\\einstein.phys.uwm.edu\\patcher S5S0007.dat
but make sure the patcher, .dat and einstien app files are in that directory

They where, but for some reason my CMD refuse to work there.

It seems like my DOS (I don't know if it is because that I use Win2000) will only work in the system partition.

When I change the folder to the "E" which is my system directory and then patched it there, it worked just fine :o)
then I changed it back to the "H" partition ... it should work, I think

Hello!

Athlon XP 2600+ 24/7. Than I can help?

Yes, your CPU has SSE2 so you should use the patch file S5S0007.dat or an app already patched with this file. Akos has moved into SSE3 versions of his patch process so please be careful not to use one of those.

No. Only SSE...

It will work with S5S0007.dat

It will work with S5S0007.dat BUT do not optimize anything at the moment, there are problems with the optimized applications.
