    I did a comparison of performance between having the same card via Linux in a PCI-E 2.0 16x and 8x slot.

    16x: 2131 seconds
    8x: 2984 seconds

    This was running two work units per GPU (580). Configuration was the same. All I did was move the card from one slot to another. The difference is fairly substantial between the two slots.
