I've got first couple of results on my dual AMD Opteron 280 box. Validation is pending, but speed has impreoved considerably compared to 4.55: 4900 seconds vs. 7600 seconds for WU from same series.
I'm using 4.58 on all my computers now and returned about 100 results, all valid. The speed-improvement (I switched from 4.40) is tremendous! I am very happy with it.

Anyone tried the graphics yet? Any problems that needed to be solved by overriding the CPU detection or removing the .so file?

Thank you for asking Bernd. I have to use the switch :
-no_gui_rpc
in the commandline to run the application. If i don´t do this it hangs. It may be my f***ed up Kubuntu installation. I had problems with the graphics since i run Einstein. That was not a problem for me because the crunching works without gui very well. Please look here: run_manager problem
That sounds rather like a problem with the BOINC client than related to this particular App. It might be that the user account BOINC is running on doesn't have access to the ports the client uses, or something else is running there, maybe even writing something the BOINC client can't deal with. Check ports 1043 and 31416.
I was rather asking whether some problems we had with the 4.55 Beta (and not occured with the official 4.40) still occur with the 4.58.

So far so good, but I'm still waiting for all my hosts to crunch and report. My crunchers are headless so the graphics are not used anyway, but I did have modify the .so file on at least one box when using 4.55, but haven't had to do that with 4.58.

My AMD X2 3800+ returned 44

My AMD X2 3800+ returned 44 results so far, 20 with granted credit, 24 still pending an none invalid.
CPU time decreased from ~9000s to ~5500s (long) and from an estimated ~2800s to ~1800s (short).
I was using 4.55 before.

xlibmesa-dri module and direct rendering enabled.
