well we will probably set up a permanent base on the moon, maybe even mars but
human organism is tied to earthlike environment so before we can go beyond we need to separate our soul (human brain processes) from our body.
When we make it then we can start traveling to other stars with the speed of light . Actually that's the only way i can imagine to reach out other stars

Can't quite image the grass

Can't quite image the grass on extrasolar planets yet, but I'm quite sure it's greener... :)

If spacetime is curved by a concentration of mass, then can it be folded? If the universe is an inflated vacuum fluctuation, is it possible to inflate a local region until it's superpositioned with where and when you want to go, and then deflate to that time and position?

I'm going to say. . . yes.

As opposed to what?

Anyway, I believe I feel rather less "confined" learning about the wonders of the cosmos than I would subsisting in a bio-bubble on Mars.

Why would you care if your brain processes were somehow successfully replicated in a far off solar system? You'd go to sleep every night knowing that somewhere out there "you" were enjoying the view of a different star?
