*sigh* Closer, but, again, no. Though I do love your winning spirit!

Speaking of breakfast, this morning I had two slices of toasted volkornbrot topped with eggs fried in olive oil, a bowl of blueberries, strawberries, and banana, and a cup of hot cocoa.

Snagletooth has been closest to one of those destinations.

A nice sentiment, but no.  Food Gary, think food, or something along those lines.

By the way, I have used a Ronco Veg-O-Matic, and had fun with it back in the 70's. "It slices! It dices!"

Annnnnnnd we have a WINNER!! Congratulations Mike!

Either "vegetarian" or "vegan" would have done it.  The star system, of course, is Alpha Lyrae aka Vega.  I don't know whether it's an actual system with planets and inhabitants and such, but after twice reading Carl Sagan's "Contact", I tend to think of it as a happening place.

Snagletooth mentioned his vegetable garden and his tomato-loving cat, which is why I said he was closest (and his cat a contender). Anniet's cat has a aversion to pasta (externally applied) and so was not a contender. I gave a nod to the Veg-O-Matic and tried to poke discussions about food preferences, recipes etc., but after the fireplace poker incident I sensed frustrations were running high and so thought it best to be more generous with clues. But still, to pull "vegan" out the hat like that is an impressive feat.  Well done Mr. Hewson.

And, yes Gary, a cheese log is considered vegetarian by some, but you needed to be more specific. Sorry.
